May have to ship neck off to Australia and similar. Ships with a bag in US for $30 or less- overseas check below and do the math. Just the thing for your Garage/Surf/Punk band video. Pickups read out- Neck 6'2K, Bridge 6.5K. Body has some scratches, primarily on back- nothing disastrous- see pix- overall it's in nice shape. Very playable Some abrasions to neck back at headstock- see pix. more length just under 25" slim neck and flat profile board- medium large frets. Ply body with a round-over/ German carve to edges- neck is presumably mahogany with a rosewood board. Possibly this was bought overseas and brought back by a serviceman- that was not uncommon, and there were a lot of Japanese brands that were never exported to the US.
Are an odd mix- and unlike any I've seen on other Japanese copy guitars. Normally you'd see generic pickups and bridge and some clunky vibrato- these units- while sort of copying Mosrite and Fender. It is also unusual in that greater care than usual was taken in copying the hardware- see pix. Not quite sure who's responsible for this- it does say made in Japan but whatever brand it was- probably sported one of those plastic nail-on logos- is lost to time. This tuneful time-machine is ready to plug in and rip the walls off your garage.

The side-marker material runs the full length of the board, doubling as full fretboard binding– it also includes the nut, and looks very much like aged bone or ivory! All original.

Plus one pole-adjustable single-coil pickup, of the type made famous by Ry Cooder) the at-the-time unique 4+2 tuner arrangement, plus the completely unique fretboard side markers. So many of these fine guitars are now missing their little metal badges– BUT THIS ONE HAS ITS BADGE! These cool little small-bodied guitars feature a cunningly designed combination trapeze tailpiece/adjustable bridge. The cool and distinctive Teisco Del Rey badges of this era were only being glued to the headstock, and by the mid-80s the glue had lost its ability to hold the badges to the wood.

Neck itself has some relief in it(there is no truss rod adjustment) and with the new taller nut it's more set up for slide with higher action. Frets are smaller profile and do show wear but still retain a playable profile. Has a really cool looking metal mirror finish pickguard. There's one tone and one voume control and a slider switch labeled treble/solo. Has 2 pickups each with an on/off rocker switch. Electronics are a bit scratchy but all does work. The"B" and high"E" string plastic tuner bushings are missing.
